Snowman Pillow Box Bucket

Another cute little pillow box bucket! I made this snowman with Whisper White cs, edges sponged with Pool Party. Hat is Top Note Die in Basic Black. I used the Owl Builder Punch to punch out the eyes & mouth, and the nose is hand-cut from Pumpkin Pie cs. I gave his cheeks a little blush by sponging on Blushing Bride. And I used my Piercing Tool & foam mat to poke holes in the eyes & mouth, so that light from a battery-operated tea-lite can shine through. TFL!

Jack-o-lantern Luminary

I made this little Jack-o-lantern using 3 die-cut Pillow Boxes cut out on my Big Shot. I followed the tutorial on SCS, found here:

Pillow Box Bucket Tutorial

I changed the eyes a bit from the original - I used oval punches cut in half. Also, I used my Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the eyes. Then, I placed a battery-operated flameless tealight inside the pumpin. TFL!

Quilted Pursuit of Happiness

Another card for today's challenge on SCS. I had scraps of Paisley Petals all over my desk after finishing the last card, so I decided to use them up on a second card! The tag is from Merry Medley On Board chipboard. The sentiment is from Pursuit of Happiness. TFL!

Quilted Butterfly

Today on Splitcoaststampers, the challenge was to use chipboard covered with patterned paper. I used a butterfly from On Board Merry Medley chipboard from Stampin' Up!, and covered it with Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper. After adhering the paper with 2-Way Glue Pen, I sanded the edges, then tied white satin ribbon around the middle and embellished with 3 Pearls Basic Jewels on one wing. For the background, I used scraps on Paisley Petals DSP cut into triangles and arranged into a "quilt" pattern. After gluing the pieces down, I textured the background using the Big Shot machine and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. TFL!

Stocking Garland

I just love the new Holiday Stocking die for the Big Shot! I whipped up this garland of stockings in no time! To create this look, I adhered standard aluminum foil to cardstock before cutting the stocking shapes with my Big Shot. Then I textured each stocking using various embossing folders & texture plates with the Big Shot. The patterned paper on the top of each stocking is Letters To Santa Designer Series Paper, and the stockings are tied onto Hemp Twine with White Grograin ribbon. TFL!

Need for Speed

This is the last of the cards for my monthly stamp club. My ladies will get to choose which of these cards they want to make. They are basically the same card, just reversed and with different main images. I used the Need for Speed and Word Play stamp sets. I sponged Marina Mist on the background for each to create the sky, and on the boat card I masked the boat and brayered Island Indigo to make the water. The patterned paper is Well Worn Designer Series Paper. TFL!

Stormy Halloween Night

This is another card for my monthly stamp club. I created the background by first punching a circle from a post-it, and sponging Daffodil Delight & Calypso Coral inside the circle to make the moon. Next I place the punched circle over the moon to mask it while I sponged Basic Gray to create the clouds. I used a punched Scallop Circle as a mask to make the scalloped cloud formations. For the multi-colored leaves, I added a few drops of Chocolate Chip, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight inks to a folded baby wipe to create a custom stamp pad for the leaf image from Autumn Days. The sentiment is from Hand-Penned Holidays, and the owl is from Warmest of Wishes, one of the Hostess sets in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

3-D Pumpkins

This is one of three cards that my stamp club will be making this month. The patterned paper is Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper, and the sentiment is from Delightful Dozen. Here's how I created the pumpkins:

Punch 6 circles - any size

Score & fold each circle in half

Stack & tape the circles together

Tape one end of the stack to the card

Leave the other end loose so that you can

flatten the stack to put in an envelope

The "ghost" is made using the Owl Builder punch, just cut off the owl's feet, turn upside down & you have a ghost!

Christmas Lodge 3-Panel Card

This card is for Sketch Challenge 351 on SCS. I tweaked the sketch just a bit by stamping the large tree on the background first, then adding the 3-panel image on top. I used the Christmas Lodge stamp set from the Holiday Mini on Very Vanilla cardstock, and the mat color is Riding Hood Red. I added "snow" to the house with Crystal Effects & Dazzling Diamonds, and sparkle to the tree using CE and the new Mica Flakes - I love this new product! It's soooo sparkly & pretty! TFL!

Bleached Zoo Review

I created this card for a little guy that I've been babysitting for the last 3 1/2 years. Today is his last day with me, he is starting preschool on Tuesday!

I stamped the animals on Crumb Cake and embossed them with Black embossing powder. Then I used my Aquapainter filled with bleach to lighten the animals. Finally, on the giraffe, I colored the spots with Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write marker. The background is from Well Worn Designer Series Paper on the bottom, and Cajun Craze on top. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. For a finishing touch I tied hemp twine around the zebra card. TFL!

Sugared Blossom

This is for today's Ways To Use It Challenge on splitcoaststampers.com. The challenge for today was to "paint" on your card, and anything that is not a stamp pad or sprays ink qualifies as "painting". For this card, I tried something new... First I punched the petals and leaves with the Blossom Builder Punch from Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade cardstock, then stamped them with the Build-a-Blossom stamp set in Concord Crush and Always Artichoke. Next I mixed Crystal Effects with a little water, then stirred in Dazzling Diamonds. Finally, I "painted" the mixture onto the petals & leaves before assembling the flower on the card. I also used Confetti stamp set to stamp the leaves on the background, and the {friend to friend} sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. For the finishing touch, I added 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Wisteria Wonder. TFL!
