Flores Suaves November Club Card #3

This is card #3 for my November Stamp Club meeting. We created the "postcard" by masking & stamping En Francais on the left side of the card, and the script stamp from Flores Suaves on the right, using Early Espresso ink. The "stamp" is from Pretty Postage, punched out with the Postage Stamp punch. The butterfly and bee images are also from Flores Suaves, and the background is the Sunflower stamp. The buttlerfly is embossed with black embossing powder, and all the images are colored with Stampin' Pastels.

Three Little Words Club Card #2

This is card #2 for my November Stamp Club meeting. We used Three Little Words stamp set, with Ornate Blossom stamped on the background. For the bird, we wheeled Baroque Border in Early Espresso onto Soft Suede cs, then punched it out with the Bird Builder punch. Finally, we accented the bird and the card with a few pearls for some bling! TFL!

Fabulous Florets November Club Card #1

This is the first card for my monthly Stamp Club November meeting. All images are from Fabulous Florets stamp set, and the colors are Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight.

Advent Calendar

I created this Advent Calendar using the 25 & Counting stamp set, and the Peekaboo Frames Bigz L Die, both from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The background paper is from Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper, also from the Holiday Mini. Contact me if you want specifics, or to order supplies to make your own Advent Calendar!

The Dog Ate My Homework!

I came home the other night to find that our dog, Angel, had gotten into my craft room. She found the Halloween Treat Bag that was filled with candy, ripped it open, and ate the candy! The "before" pic isn't the actual one that she ate...it had a Twizzler inside, and I don't have a before picture. The "after" pic is all that was left. Ok, lesson learned - don't keep samples containing candy on a low shelf! ...side note - she doesn't like sour candy, as the one filled with sour worms was right next to the Twizzler sample, and she didn't even touch it!

Penguin Christmas Horizontal Center Step Card

This card features Julie Davison's Horizontal Center Step Card technique. I learned this while at Stampin' Up! Regionals in Louisville.

The penguin image is from Zoo Review - love that set! It's just soooo versatile! And the Merry Christmas is from Christmas Lodge. The card base is Cherry Cobbler, and the dsp on the side panels is Letters to Santa. I added Mica "snowflakes" to bling it up!

Directions for the card base are on Julie's blog here:

Welcome New Neighbors!

A new family just moved in across the stree from us, so I thought I'd welcome them to the neighborhood Stampin' Up! style!

For the card I used Fabulous Florets. I stamped the silhouette image in Soft Suede on First Edition Designer Series Paper. Next, I stamped the flower & leaf images, over the silhouette, using Versamark. Finally, I embossed the images with black embossing powder, then colored them in using Blender Pens and Rose Red, So Saffron, and Old Olive stamp pads. The card base is River Rock, with the silhouette image stamped in Soft Suede. I embellished with Victoria Crochet Trim, Hemp Twine, and a Mini Clothespin - love those, they are so cute & tiny!

After I finished the card, I decided to make some cookies too. So, I pulled out my Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps & whipped up a batch of Jack-O-Lantern shortbread cookies! Here they are, all dressed up & ready to go:

Snowman Pillow Box Bucket

Another cute little pillow box bucket! I made this snowman with Whisper White cs, edges sponged with Pool Party. Hat is Top Note Die in Basic Black. I used the Owl Builder Punch to punch out the eyes & mouth, and the nose is hand-cut from Pumpkin Pie cs. I gave his cheeks a little blush by sponging on Blushing Bride. And I used my Piercing Tool & foam mat to poke holes in the eyes & mouth, so that light from a battery-operated tea-lite can shine through. TFL!

Jack-o-lantern Luminary

I made this little Jack-o-lantern using 3 die-cut Pillow Boxes cut out on my Big Shot. I followed the tutorial on SCS, found here:

Pillow Box Bucket Tutorial

I changed the eyes a bit from the original - I used oval punches cut in half. Also, I used my Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the eyes. Then, I placed a battery-operated flameless tealight inside the pumpin. TFL!

Quilted Pursuit of Happiness

Another card for today's challenge on SCS. I had scraps of Paisley Petals all over my desk after finishing the last card, so I decided to use them up on a second card! The tag is from Merry Medley On Board chipboard. The sentiment is from Pursuit of Happiness. TFL!

Quilted Butterfly

Today on Splitcoaststampers, the challenge was to use chipboard covered with patterned paper. I used a butterfly from On Board Merry Medley chipboard from Stampin' Up!, and covered it with Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper. After adhering the paper with 2-Way Glue Pen, I sanded the edges, then tied white satin ribbon around the middle and embellished with 3 Pearls Basic Jewels on one wing. For the background, I used scraps on Paisley Petals DSP cut into triangles and arranged into a "quilt" pattern. After gluing the pieces down, I textured the background using the Big Shot machine and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. TFL!

Stocking Garland

I just love the new Holiday Stocking die for the Big Shot! I whipped up this garland of stockings in no time! To create this look, I adhered standard aluminum foil to cardstock before cutting the stocking shapes with my Big Shot. Then I textured each stocking using various embossing folders & texture plates with the Big Shot. The patterned paper on the top of each stocking is Letters To Santa Designer Series Paper, and the stockings are tied onto Hemp Twine with White Grograin ribbon. TFL!

Need for Speed

This is the last of the cards for my monthly stamp club. My ladies will get to choose which of these cards they want to make. They are basically the same card, just reversed and with different main images. I used the Need for Speed and Word Play stamp sets. I sponged Marina Mist on the background for each to create the sky, and on the boat card I masked the boat and brayered Island Indigo to make the water. The patterned paper is Well Worn Designer Series Paper. TFL!

Stormy Halloween Night

This is another card for my monthly stamp club. I created the background by first punching a circle from a post-it, and sponging Daffodil Delight & Calypso Coral inside the circle to make the moon. Next I place the punched circle over the moon to mask it while I sponged Basic Gray to create the clouds. I used a punched Scallop Circle as a mask to make the scalloped cloud formations. For the multi-colored leaves, I added a few drops of Chocolate Chip, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight inks to a folded baby wipe to create a custom stamp pad for the leaf image from Autumn Days. The sentiment is from Hand-Penned Holidays, and the owl is from Warmest of Wishes, one of the Hostess sets in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

TFL!

3-D Pumpkins

This is one of three cards that my stamp club will be making this month. The patterned paper is Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper, and the sentiment is from Delightful Dozen. Here's how I created the pumpkins:

Punch 6 circles - any size

Score & fold each circle in half

Stack & tape the circles together

Tape one end of the stack to the card

Leave the other end loose so that you can

flatten the stack to put in an envelope

The "ghost" is made using the Owl Builder punch, just cut off the owl's feet, turn upside down & you have a ghost!

Christmas Lodge 3-Panel Card

This card is for Sketch Challenge 351 on SCS. I tweaked the sketch just a bit by stamping the large tree on the background first, then adding the 3-panel image on top. I used the Christmas Lodge stamp set from the Holiday Mini on Very Vanilla cardstock, and the mat color is Riding Hood Red. I added "snow" to the house with Crystal Effects & Dazzling Diamonds, and sparkle to the tree using CE and the new Mica Flakes - I love this new product! It's soooo sparkly & pretty! TFL!

Bleached Zoo Review

I created this card for a little guy that I've been babysitting for the last 3 1/2 years. Today is his last day with me, he is starting preschool on Tuesday!

I stamped the animals on Crumb Cake and embossed them with Black embossing powder. Then I used my Aquapainter filled with bleach to lighten the animals. Finally, on the giraffe, I colored the spots with Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write marker. The background is from Well Worn Designer Series Paper on the bottom, and Cajun Craze on top. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. For a finishing touch I tied hemp twine around the zebra card. TFL!

Sugared Blossom

This is for today's Ways To Use It Challenge on splitcoaststampers.com. The challenge for today was to "paint" on your card, and anything that is not a stamp pad or sprays ink qualifies as "painting". For this card, I tried something new... First I punched the petals and leaves with the Blossom Builder Punch from Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade cardstock, then stamped them with the Build-a-Blossom stamp set in Concord Crush and Always Artichoke. Next I mixed Crystal Effects with a little water, then stirred in Dazzling Diamonds. Finally, I "painted" the mixture onto the petals & leaves before assembling the flower on the card. I also used Confetti stamp set to stamp the leaves on the background, and the {friend to friend} sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. For the finishing touch, I added 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Wisteria Wonder. TFL!

Punched Poinsettia

Another Christmas card! To create the poinsettia, I used Build-a-Blossom stamp set and Blossom Builders punch, along wit Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and So Saffron ink and cardstock. For the card base, I used Very Vanilla cs, embossed with Framed Tulips embossing folder, then stamped with En Francais in Crumb Cake. Finally, I stamped "Season's Greetings" from Snow Swirled in Versamark then embossed with Gold ep. TFL!

Christmas Rose

I'm on a Christmas kick lately - it's July, time to get started on Christmas cards!

To make this card, I embossed Very Vanilla cs with the Manhattan Flowers embossing folder and Big Shot machine. Next, I watercolored the roses using my Aquapainter and Cherry Cobbler ink. I then sponged Old Olive on the background around the roses. The tag is a stamp from Four Frames stamp set, watercolored with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive, and the "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I matted the image panel with Crumb Cake cs before mounting it on a Cherry Cobbler card base. I added Victorian Crochet Lace and Hemp Twine, then spritzed the whold card with Vanilla Smooch Spritz to give it some shimmer. Thanks for looking!

I also highlighted the snowman with Frost White Shimmer Paint, and stamped snowflakes in the background in Pool Party. Merry Christmas!

Love Tied With Twine

Seems I am stuck on yesterday's collage theme! This card is for today's Free For All challenge on SCS - F4A73 Twine!
The challenge was to use twine on a card, and anything else goes. I used En Francais and Love & Care stamp sets, and the colors are Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango, and Wild Wasabi. I stamped the En Francais BG in Basic Gray, then stamped the flowers & leaves from Love & Care in Versamark, then I heat embossed the flowers & leaves with the new Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi embossing powders from the Summer Mini Catalog, and embossed the flower centers with black ep. I then spritzed the image with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz. The green strip behind the main image is Wild Wasabi, embossed with Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and the Big Shot. The card base is Soft Suede, embossed with Framed Tulips embossing powder. Oh, and I used some Hemp Twine to tie on the tag! TFL!

Finally, I stamped the flower image from Love & Care with Versamark and embossed with Tangerine Tango embossing powder. The ribbon is a piece of white grosgrain, colored with Crumb Cake Stampin' Write marker. The rest of the card is finished out with the same colors and stamps as the background. TFL!

I used the Medallion stamp, sponge with all 3 colors, for the background. Sand & Surf Swaps

This was my swap card for my Stampin' Up! demo meeting in June. I used the Summer Splash stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog. Everything is stamped in Early Espresso, and colored with Stampin' Write markers in several of the new 2011-2012 In Colors - Pool Party, Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, and Lucky Limeade. I used cardstock in Whisper White, Early Espresso, and Calypso Coral. And, the "sand" below the surfboards is an equal mixture of Dazzling Diamonds and beach sand, attached using Heat N Stick powder and Versamark. You can't really see it in the picture, but the sand is very sparkly IRL. Thanks for looking!

Loads of Love Thank You's for Tony

I made a stack of these cards for my son Tony to send out thank you notes for graduation gifts. The card base is Basic Gray, the layer behind the image is half of a Top Note die cut in Concord Crush. The image layer is Loads of Love stamped on Whisper White, then colored with Stampin' Write markers. TFL!

Baby Gift for a Friend

I made this group of items for a friend who was expecting a baby girl. Set includes a 6x6 scrapbook, two 5x7 wall hangings, and a set of 12 blank cards & envelopes.

For this matching set, I used Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper from our Spring Mini catalog, and solid colored cardstock in colors to coordinate with the dsp. The scrapbook is a 6x6 Natural Linen ring album from Stampin' Up! The frames are old frames that recycled by spray painting white, then I gave them some sparkle with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. The cards are 4x4, so that I could cut 4 from each sheet of 12x12 cardstock, and decorated with scraps of dsp to coordinate with the scrapbook and wall hangings.

Thanks for looking!

All-Star Grad Card

This card is for today's Ways To Use It challenge on splitcoaststampers.com. The challenge today was to use stars on a card. I will give this card to one of my son's friends as a graduation card - I just love the sentiment, "Go confidently in the direction of you dreams", from the Word Play stamp set. The stamped stars are from the set Extreme Elements. Our school colors are purple and gold, so naturally I used Concord Crush and lots of gold embossing powder! The base of the card is Basic Black with a Whisper White panel on top. The sentiment and stars are stamped on Glossy White, the sentiment embossed with white ep, and the stars with gold ep. Then I brayered Concord Crush over the whole piece to make the white stand out. I added punched gold faux-metal stars for a finishing touch. TFL!

My First My Digital Studio card

This is for the My Digital Studio Monday Challenge on the Utah Divas International blog. The challenge is to create a red, white and blue card in honor of President's Day on Monday, using My Digital Studio. I've had the program since November, but this is the first time I've used it to create anything! Now I don't know why I waited so long - this is really fun to use! Believe it or not, everything on this card was created digitally and printed on my printer, even the ribbon and brads! I will definitely be using My Digital Studio more often! If you are interested in purchasing My Digital Studio, get in touch with me. TFL!

Simply Adorned

It's amazing how new goodies can get the mojo going! This is the Simply Adorned pendant, chain, and crown charms from Stampin' Up! For the inside of the pendant, I stamped a 1 1/2 x 2 inch piece of Sahara Sand with images from the Bliss Sale-a-Bration set in Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, and Early Espresso. The pendant opens up like a locket, so you can change out the images inside to match any outfit. What a fun new accessory!

Bliss Card for UDI Color Challenge

A friend recently told me about the Utah Divas International blog and the stamping challenges the have on their site. So, I checked it out. On Tuesdays they have a color challenge, and this week's challenge is to use Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, and Very Vanilla in combination. This card is my take on the challenge. I used the new Sale-a-Bration "Bliss" stamp set, along with "En Francais" for the background. The Very Vanilla cs is textured with Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, and I made the Chocolate Chip frame using the Top Note die and Crosshatch embossing folder. I finished off the card with a piece of Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon, a Filligree designer brad, and a quick spray of Log Cabin Smooch Spritz. Here is the link to the original challenge and the inspiration for it: Utah Divas International TFL!

Vintage Potpourri

I haven't done much stamping since Christmas, so I signed into Splitcoaststampers.com this morning, looking for a little motivation to get my Stampin' mojo going again. When I looked at today's Technique Lover's Challenge, I was greeted with TLC307 - Mojo Motivator! The challenge was to choose a previous Technique, Color, and Sketch challenge, and put them together on one card. This way, your technique, colors, and layout are already chosen. The only thing left to choose is the stamp set.
I chose TLC299 - W.I.S.H. technique; CC299 - Real Red, Old Olive, and River Rock; and SC313. The base of the card is textured using the Vintage Wallpaper folder and Big Shot machine. I used Punch Potpourri Hostess stamp set for this card. TFL!
